From the Tuscany wine region, Il Poggione 2014 Brunello Di Montalcino is an elegant and well-crafted Brunello produced from 100% Sangiovese sourced from the winery's oldest vineyards. The juice is fermented in temperature controlled stainless-steel tanks and then aged in French oak barrels prior to bottling and bottle ageing. Loaded with blueberry, dark cherry, fine herb, earthy and well-integrated oak spice. Tannins are smooth and velvety. Pour with roasted meats, game sausages and mature cheeses. Drink or hold.

Brunello Di Montalcino food pairings: game roasts, tourtiere, bison burgers, venison stew.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
