Reviews and Ratings

Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Picking up where the 2016 vintage left off, the new version of Arinna continues the tradition of a Merlot-dominated blend offering a combination of accessibility and ageability, grace and poise, elegance and structure. 47/26/20/7 Merlot/Cab Sauv/Cab Franc/Malbec. Leads with ripe, almost jammy dark fruit, with an emphasis on black cherry, plum, and blackberry. Twelve months in a combination of premium French and American oak barrels that lend beautiful baking spice, graham cracker, cocoa, and smoke. Young, so the tannins possess some grip and edge, but nothing a healthy decant or year to two in the cellar will not round off to exquisite smoothness. The acidity is lively yet friendly, lending a supreme food friendliness to this premium blend. The palate echoes the nose, combining ripe dark fruits and pleasant oak spice, leading into a smooth finish marked by intensity and longevity. A gem that is sure to please for many years to come. Pair with a rare prime rib or dark chocolate with dried dark fruit and nuts.
