Attractive, mouth-watering black cherries, blackberries and earthy notes. Gives a pleasant bite with supple, full-bodied layers of flavour. Good balance. This winery has made big strides quickly in terms of its quality and development from just starting out.

Merlot food pairings: spiced lamb tourtiere, pan-seared scallops with pumpkin risotto.

Reviews and Ratings

Joe Hache Prince Edward Count rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Lots of cherry and dates and figs on the palate. Good acidity and well balanced. Good tannins. Big solid medium finish. No oak as it has been aged in stainless steel. I wouldn't have this with a big steak but would really like to pair it with turkey! And the berry flavor would go great with cranberries on the side!
An un-oaked youthful wine, magenta with a tint of purple. The nose exudes aromas of black cherry, raspberry, tobacco leaf, white pepper and earth accompanied by expressive floral notes. Light to medium-bodied and poised to please, our `08 merlot offers a flavourful palate of recurring cherry, plum, violet and spice on a moderately tannic chassis. Served at 15 C., it is splendid bistro fare.
