Hársányi's Tokaji Aszú 5 Puttonyos from Tokaj-Hegyalja is a lusciously sweet, medium-bodied dessert wine offering notes of poached pear, dried apricot, candied orange and honeycomb. This wine displays vibrant acidity that beautifully balances its richness and will continue to develop over the next fifteen years. Serve it well chilled with Roquefort cheese and walnuts as the wine's sweetness complements the salty, pungent cheese, or pair it with seared foie gras where the wine's acidity cuts through the rich liver. Winemaker János Hársányi crafts this exceptional Tokaji from grapes affected by noble rot, sourced from four historic volcanic vineyards where unique microclimates and mineral-rich soils create ideal conditions for producing Hungary's legendary dessert wine. The Tokaj region has been producing Aszú wines since the 16th century, and the traditional puttonyos system measures sweetness levels, with 5 puttonyos representing a harmonious balance of sugar and acidity. This delectable dessert wine represents outstanding quality and will cellar beautifully through 2040.

5 Puttonyos Tokaji Aszú food pairings: fruit desserts, blue cheeses, foie gras.
