Hess collection is a well-respected Californian winery and sources its Cabernet Sauvignon wine grapes for Allomi 2016 form their estate Allomi Vineyard. There is some Petit Sirah wine grapes in support on this full-bodied and intense with black cherry, dark berry, earthy violets, baking spice flavours with a lingering toasty finish on the palate. Pair with a grilled sirloin steak topped with blue cheese.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: gorgonzola topped sirloin, grilled veggies, herb-crusted poultry, hearty meat dishes, hard cheese.

Reviews and Ratings

Allomi 2017 is a full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon from Hess Collection Winery with a smattering of Petite Sirah, Malbec and Petit Verdot grapes added to it. Wine grapes are sourced from the Pope Valley, Napa Valley region where wine grapes ripen slowly, evenly and fully. Savoury and earthy on the nose, dry, medium-plus-bodied with dark raspberry, dark cherry, blackberry, smooth vanilla and toasty oak spice finish. Tannins are well-integrated. - Community Wine Reviews
