I closed my eyes when I breathed in this wine’s aromas. I love that. Gorgeous lifted aromas of blackberries and some spritely voice singing in the middle of a dark forest… a shaft of sunlight cuts through the trees. Rise up on the notes, turn your face to the sun. Full-bodied and richly layered. Perfect for forgiveness.

Shiraz food pairings: rosemary leg of lamb roast, lamb shanks in red wine sauce, rare rib steak.

Reviews and Ratings

From the Eden Valley in Australia, Henschke's Mount Edelstone Vineyard is one of the most noted vineyard sites in Australia. The 90 year old vines has been producing a single vineyard Shiraz since 1952. The 2012 Shiraz is great now, but will live long and last for another 10 years. Drink to 2025. - Community Wine Reviews

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
