Natalie's Score: 93/100

This robust Australian red wine is a blend of Shiraz, Grenache, Mourvèdre, and Viognier. Gorgeously ripe blackberry and plum aromas are lifted and highlighted in the mid-palate with the Viognier. Wonderful balance and complexity with a smooth and hugely satisfying finish. Pair with roast beef.

Food pairings: grilled meats and vegetables, beef stew, meat lover's pizza, barbecued ribs.

Reviews and Ratings

This full-bodied Australian red wine blend is a tribute to Henry Evans who planted the first vineyard of seven acres in Keyneton in 1853. Following his death in 1868, his widow Sarah exercised her temperance convictions and closed the winery, uprooting al the vines. The 2013 vintage from Henschke is a blend of Shiraz (60%), Grenache (26%), Mataro (7%) and Viognier (7%) grapes. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
