Gewurztraminer food pairings: mildly spiced seafood dishes.

Reviews and Ratings

Dan Trcka Wine Blogger rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

The 2010 Helfrich Gewurztraminer is a medium bodied, fruity wine, with intense aromas of honey, Muscat and lily. It has a distinct minerality and a medium, sweet finish. Drink-how: it is enjoyable as an aperitif - one glass at a time due to its sweetness. My impression: NICE, 89 pts Tasted Aug/12.

See my wine recommendations readily available at the LCBO here:

An elegant and refined Gewurz with aromas of rose petals, grapefruit peel and a hint of spice. Dry and fruity with gentle acidity. If you have yet to explore Gewurztraminer, this is a perfect place to start – the classic flavours are all here. Enjoy it as a sipper. Source: Vintages Wine Panel

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
