A blend of 40% cabernet sauvignon, 37% carmenere, 13% cabernet franc and 10% syrah that offers terrific deep black fruit flavours and smoke. Purple and dark plums emerge at the forefront with a rich juiciness that follows.

Reviews and Ratings

Sheena Davis rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

good new years sipper.
Deep ruby. Smoke accented cherry and dark berries on the nose, with complicating notes of cola and vanilla. Plush, expansive dark berry preserve flavors show a warm quality and pick up spiciness with air. Quite rich, featuring good finishing cling and resonating smokiness. Score - 89 Source: Josh Raynolds, International Wine Cellar

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
