Reviews and Ratings

Michel Gassier /Savoury, toasty and chary and not quite burnt on the toast for the oak. Black, black fruit dipped in tar and a dark mood. Supple, velvet texture, full-bodied (you kidding me?). Mouth-texture, yes! MINE: Philippe Cambie & Michel Gassier produce this robust French red wine. Apparently, according to the gospel of back labels, Jupiter if the king of all gods and men (and women). He rules from Mount Olympus and with a simple nod of his head, he can cause earthquakes. Give the man-god a drink please. Meanwhile, Jupiter is the largest planet in our solar system, and its halo if the closest of the three rings that surround it. This is a blend of Grenache and other grapes. My eyes are tired from reading tiny type. OTHER: Deep ruby. Potent aromas of fresh dark berries, Asian spices and candied flowers on the deeply perfumed nose. At once rich and energetic, offering sweet black raspberry and cherry flavors given spine by juicy acidity. Turns spicier on the long, penetrating finish, which features silky tannins and a lingering lavender pastille nuance. Score - 90-92 (Josh Raynolds, vinous.com, April 2016). - Community Wine Reviews

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
