This is a naturally semi-sweet wine crafted from late-harvest indigenous Saperavi grapes grown exclusively in PDO Kindzmarauli Micro-Zone, Kakheti, East Georgia. Velvety and harmonious with suggestions of ripe plum, blackberry and currants, it pairs well with spicy entrees, rich cheeses or chilled cherry cake. - LCBO NEW: Kindzmarauli is one of Georgia's most storied appellations, and this naturally semi-sweet wine from Gurjaani is made entirely from late-harvest Saperavi grown in the Kakheti region. Ripe plum and blackberry bring real sweetness, balanced by good acidity underneath. Velvety tannin gives it a plush, rounded feel. Rose hip surfaces as the wine lingers in the glass. Rich cheeses or spicy entrees would be a delightful match. Georgia has been making wine for eight thousand years, so it's fair to say they've had time to get this part right.

Food pairings: spiced lamb tagine, aged blue cheese, roasted duck.
