Reviews and Ratings

Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 95/100 with the following review:

Wow! Beautiful creamy texture with baked pastries, caramel, and nutty notes. So smooth and delicious you'll wonder why you haven't enjoyed fine Grappa sooner! A fantastic alternative to Scotch and premium Tequila, and what a great complement and finale to an evening of fine wine and food enjoyment. Sassicaia Grappa is the ultimate disgestif after a rich and delicious Italian meal. Tasted November 2016. 95 points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca
This Italian spirit is produced by Tenuta San Guido & Jacopo Poli. While Sassicaia is well-known for its coveted dry, red table wines, it also produces this grappa, distilled from the pomace of grapes (the solid remains or particulate of grapes after pressing for juice) that comprise its cultish red wine. It also makes olive oil. - Community Wine Reviews

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
