Grange of Prince Edward County Victoria Block Gamay bursts with vibrant aromas of sour cherry, fresh cranberry, and wild strawberry with hints of dried violets and savory herbs. Dry and light to medium-bodied with silky, barely-there tannins, it dances across the palate with electric acidity and bright red fruit before closing with a cheerful, mineral-driven finish. Serve it lightly chilled or cellar it through 2029. Jonas Newman, who came to The Grange in 2022 after founding the cult-favorite Hinterland sparkling winery, crafts this low-intervention wine from fruit grown in the estate's Victoria Block, one of the oldest plantings dating to 2001 when the property first established its vineyards, making these among the most mature vines in Prince Edward County's relatively young winemaking history. Pair this lively red with roasted chicken with herbs where the wine's bright acidity cuts through the savory, herb-crusted skin, or enjoy it with mushroom and goat cheese tart as the wine's energetic character beautifully complements the earthy, creamy flavors.

Gamay food pairings: roasted chicken with herbs, mushroom and goat cheese tart, grilled salmon.
