Toasty, muscular, shows its age in a good way with matured aromas rather than fresh ones. Toasted nut and golden apple baked.

Cava food pairings: lightly spiced curry dishes, lamb stew, white turkey meat, tacos, seafood.

Reviews and Ratings

Alex & Priya - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Alex: Quite a mature aroma comes forth, salted hazelnut, brioche, diesel fumes, bruised apple and lemon zest. This has a fine mousse, with depth and class, leaner and lighter than the nose would suggest. Elegant indeed with a long, salty finish. A seldom seen high-priced cava, but dare I say it is as good or better than many common houses' Champagne at $70. Bravo! 92 pts
Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Light and refreshing. Crisp yellow apple notes with minimal lees (which was surprising as it was aged for a several years on its lees). A very nice Cava with a refreshing medium-light body and lovely citrus finish. Tasted June 2015. 90 points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca
The 2006 vintage of the Spanish sparkling wine III Lustros Gran Reserva Brut Nature is a blend of 75% Xarello and 25% Macabeo grapes. This bubbly was aged for 72 months on its lees before being disgorged. - Community Wine Reviews
