Reviews and Ratings

Alex & Priya - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Priya: Ah Gruner Veltliner, the famed but little-known grape of Austria! Smells of basmati rice cooking in the steamer, of lemony citrus and light flowers. Wee bit effervescent with a nice tartness--that lemon comes through! 88pts

Alex: Hah the basmati rice - Priya's trademark tasting note! I would have to agree. Also there's a lime leaf, white pepper touch to the aromatics as well. Fresh, spritely wine that delivers all that you want at the everyday price point, perfect for green salads with tough to pair vinaigrette dressings or East coast oysters. 88pts
Mymi Thesingingsommelier - Sommelier, FWS rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

The grapes for this wine are from a selection of vineyards in the Pulkau valley, located in the northern wine district of Weinviertel in Austria. Just North of Vienna, the Weinviertel produces just over 1/3 of the country’s total wine output.
In the glass, it is the palest straw yellow color with a green tinge.
Fresh lime zest with honey and a touch of hay on the nose.
Elegant, dry and crisp on the palate.
A great wine to try especially if you are a fan of dry style Rieslings!

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
