Fascinating fact: Dr. Bill Lumsden, Glenmorangie's Director of Distilling, has a PhD in yeast science and has been awarded Master Distiller/Blender of the Year four times by the International Whisky Competition. He also insists the stills at Glenmorangie are the tallest in Scotland—roughly the height of an adult giraffe—which may explain why the spirit is so refined.
