Reviews and Ratings

Gioulis Agia Paraskevi Vineyard Agiorgitiko from Peloponnese is a vibrant, medium-bodied red offering aromas of tart cranberry, dried oregano, and hints of crushed violet. It's dry with polished tannins and lively acidity. Serve it slightly below room temperature with roasted lamb as the wine's herbal depth and juicy fruit will enhance the meat's savory richness beautifully, or pair it with grilled portobello mushrooms where the wine's earthy character and persistent finish will complement the umami flavors perfectly. Founded in 1993 by agronomist and oenologist George Gioulis after studying at the University of Bordeaux, Domaine Gioulis became Greece's first certified organic winery and remains the only Greek estate to hold National Organic Program (NOP) certification in the United States. Now run by George alongside his brother Konstantinos and the second generation Dimitris and Ermioni, the family farms 60 acres of vineyards at 800 to 1,000 meters elevation on the slopes of Mount Ziria near the village of Klimenti, where the semi-continental climate and cool northerly winds create ideal conditions for organic viticulture. Enjoy now or cellar for 5-8 years. - Community Wine Reviews

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
