Natalie's Score: 92/100

Aromas of big juicy purple plums and blueberries and mocha on this Italian blockbuster, and very Zinfandel-like, which makes sense given the grape's connection to Primitivo. A supple and full-bodied red wine with a good-natured heart of hedonism. Perfect for casual dinner parties with people you like. The vines are trained for low yields to ensure concentrated flavour. Intensely packed with dark fruit flavour and dark chocolate. Pair with wild and grilled meats and spicy cheeses.

Primitivo Di Manduria food pairings: grilled hot Italian sausages, barbecued ribs, chicken wing, hamburgers with relish, game..

The Giordano family has been making wine since 1900 in the warm climate of Puglia in southern Italy. Primitivo is the flagship grape of southern Italy, especially Puglia. The grapes grow on low-yield vines. - Community Wine Reviews

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
