This hedonistic red brims with aromas of blackberries, dark spices and fleshy dark plums. It's smooth and full-bodied, with classic Californian Zinfandel charms. Splash it around in your glass then knock it back and have fun! Killer hamburger wine. One bottle isn't enough.

Zinfandel food pairings: meat lovers pizza, steak, brisket.

Reviews and Ratings

The Gallo of Sonoma Frei Ranch Vineyard, first planted by Charles Dunz and Andrew Frei in the late 1800’s, is located in the cooler benchlands of Sonoma County’s Dry Creek Valley. This hillside location has
a combination of gravel, clay and loam soils. Its unique combination of climate and hillside Manzanita and Suther series soils yields Zinfandel grapes which make full-bodied, intricate wines with aromas and flavors of plum, ripe currants, red jam.
The 2007 Frei Ranch Vineyard Zinfandel has intense varietal characters of ripe currants and red jam, which are matched with a rich, full structure that adds length and complexity. Intensity is gained by carefully
managing the vines, and the elegance is preserved by gentle handling in the winery and aging in oak barrels.

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
