Reviews and Ratings

Rebecca Meir-Liebman - Sommelier rated this wine as 96/100 with the following review:

This is a special product that I don’t see often in our market. The clear, colourless brandy comes in a pear-shaped bottle containing a whole pear, and the amount of pure pear flavour this brandy captures is simply amazing. Combined with some vanilla, and delicate floral notes, it’s a great buy and good value for money. A real show stopper host or hostess gift and wonderful addition to any bar. Absolutely one of the better brandies I’ve tasted!
From Alsace, G.E. Massenez Poire Williams is ripe, rich pear and a touch of vanilla on the palate. Love the William's Pear in the bottle. This is done by placing the pear-shaped bottle over the flowering pear until the it ripens. The Poire Williams distillate is then added. Lovely after-dinner drink and makes for a very pretty gift as well. - Community Wine Reviews

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
