Supple, full-bodied, yet mellow: the kind of wine you'd sip slowly while watching The Godfather or Dracula. (Yes, the winery owner is that Francis Ford Coppola, the famous movie director.) Dark fruit and a long finish. Finishes with black raspberry and cracked pepper. Signature Dry Creek Zin with that cool climate influence and balance. Pair with beef brisket.

Zinfandel food pairings: turkey, pizza, hamburgers, venison, chicken.

Reviews and Ratings

Marco Giovanetti rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Dark chocolate, cassis and mint. On the mouth, lots of sweet fruit, oak with black plum flavors. Generous with a medium acidity and hot finish.
Jacky Blisson rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

Medium ruby subtly flecked with orange. Somewhat muted, simple nose featuring fresh and stewed dark fruits, overlaid by woody aromas. The classic fruitiness of Zinfandel is more evident on the lush, velvetty palate. The finish is a little sweet and jammy, with subtle tobacco and sweet spice. Fairly short finish. Drink now.
This Zinfandel is one of the winery's best wines. Deep garnet-red, the nose black raspberries, strawberry compote, cake spice and cracked pepper. Full-bodied and rich with mouth-coating crush raspberries, strawberries, cardamom, cake spice and vanilla, the wine elegantly reveals itself in layers. Pair with gourmet burgers with all the fixings and a great Francis Ford Coppola movie. - Community Wine Reviews
