Reviews and Ratings

Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced reviewed this wine as follows:

Tastes like a fresh bitten pear. Aromas like fresh bitten pear. Mix in a little smoke and matchstick. Pair with pound cake. Not really sure how to score. Try it for yourself and let me know. Cheers!
Tasted: February 2016
This white wine made from Asian pears grown BC's Similkameen Valley tastes sweet. Greek poet Homer in the Odyssey describes pears as the gift of the gods and the Roman goddess of fruit Ponoma is said originally to have persuaded local farmers to grow this delicate fruit. This wine is aged briefly in French oak barrels. This wine is made from 90% Asian pears and 10% European pears. - Community Wine Reviews

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
