Reviews and Ratings

Alex & Priya - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Alex: The '98 La Rosa is a more confidently relaxed but equally seductive wine than her 2011 sister. An elegant perfume of balsamic and dried rose, button mushrooms and cherry liqueur. Lots of length on the expansive palate with gentle, super sweet tannins remaining. Lovely.

Priya: 1998 was a very classical vintage but not a very popular one we're told by the winemaker. This wine has incredible complexity and balance and is a great example of what Barolo is. Has a salty smell and a rich, purple gemstone colour.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
