California Flowers is a classic California Chardonnay from the Sonoma Coast. Buttery with ripe apple, lemon curd flavours, the wine has a zesty acidity to match. The wine is fermented and matured in French oak barrels and has finesse and balance. Grapes are bought from several coastal vineyards and the wine is made in a gravity flow winery built into the rock face of a steeply sloped ridge two miles from the Pacific Ocean. Lovely mouth-watering juiciness with green apple brightness on this terrific Californian white wine, and just a kiss of toasty buttery oak. Lovely lanolin richness on this classic Californian Chardonnay. The 2016 vintage of this Chardonnay from the cool Sonoma Coast has a racy vibrancy. Superb balance. Pair with roast turkey or chicken.

Chardonnay food pairings: grilled pork chops, stuffed chicken breast, cheese.

Reviews and Ratings

California Flowers 2016 is a vibrant, dry and buttery Chardonnay from the Sonoma Coast. Great acidity for food on this weighty Chard. The Flowers family was among the first vineyards planted at the edge of the Sonoma Coast in 1991, just three kilometres from the Pacific Ocean. The Chardonnay is fermented as well as matured in French oak barrels. Enjoy now and for the next five years. - Community Wine Reviews
