Flat Rock Nadja's Vineyard 2017 Riesling is an off-dry Riesling with green apple and lime zest aromas. On the palate, this is a bright and vibrant lemony Riesling with soft orange and herbal notes on the palate. Its mouth-watering acidity, makes it a fantastic food wine to pair with pork schnitzel and cheese spaetzle. Named for winemaker Ed Madronich's mother Nadia, this vineyard was planted in 2000. The two-hectare vineyard sits on the top of the Niagara Escarpment and with this elevation, the grapes ripen later than those below in the valley by several weeks. MINE: Flat Rock Nadja's Vineyard 2017 is a subtle Riesling with light sweetness of soft orange, lime, lemon zest, fresh green apples, light herbs and flinty flavours on the palate and is accompanied by mouth watering acidity, which makes this a fantastic food wine to pair with pork schnitzel and cheese spaetzle. Named for winemaker Ed Madronich's mother Nadia, this vineyard was planted in 2000. OTHER: Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review: Beautiful! Off-dry, fragrant, and lovely. Aromas of green apple, lime, and stony minerality. Bright acidity, tons of lime on the palate and a slight herbaceousness on the finish. Enjoy with spicy seafood dishes. OTHER: Pleasantly open and forward, fruity, apple, cherry and lime blossom-scented, 2018 markes a very pretty and elegant vintage for the Nadja's Riesling. The palate is gently off-dry, balanced with ripe acids and shows very good length. This looks like it will be ready to enjoy much earlier than some previous vintages. Score - 90 (John Szabo, MS, winealign.com, Sept. 9, 2019). - Community Wine Reviews

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
