This lovely off-dry Niagara Riesling is bursting with aromas of fresh citrus, lime and green apple. two weeks later than the parcel below the winery. Remarkable, even though there are 18 grams of sugar in this wine, the acidity balances it perfectly, yielding only a slight impression of sweetness. Terrific mouth-watering acidity for seafood and salads.

Riesling food pairings: grilled chicken with lemongrass stalk, spicy pasta dishes, Feta cheese, butternut squash risotto, duck liver pate.

In a word, concentration! Such a potent wine in terms of aroma, flavour, and character. The bouquet explodes with orange, grapefruit, and citrus, pear, lemon grass, pineapple, citrus blossom, and mineral. Vivacious on the palate with electric acidity and piquant texture. Generous palate and length with resonating citrus, spice, tropical fruits, and wet stone. While there is residual sugar, it is balanced on the edge of a knife with the racy acidity and light body. One of the finest Rieslings in Niagara vintage after vintage, and 2015 is no exception to the trend. Pair with lime, jalapeno, and tomatillo snapper, fried chicken, or cured meats.
Named for winemaker Ed Madronich's mother Nadia, this vineyard was planted in 2000. It's situated at the top of the Niagara Escarpment and comprises only two hectares. With this elevation, the grapes ripen later than those below by several weeks. The grapes are pressed in whole bunches and fermented in stainless steel tanks. - Community Wine Reviews
