Reviews and Ratings

Tania Thomas - CSW, WSET ADV rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Wow, this is a fantastic crowd-pleasing red. Crafted with 100% Cab Sauvignon grapes grown on the high-altitude slopes of South Africa’s Western Cape. Big dark fruit; ripe black cherries and cassis with a subtle whiff of mint and thyme. Complex, with plenty of weight and impressive fruit density. Smooth, silky tannins and beautifully integrated oak. Great length. Closes in a pleasing dark chocolate and vanilla finish. A given as a pairing with robust, rich dishes. Tasted April 2017. Wow! There is a lot going on with this South Africa 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from the Western Cape wine region in South Africa. Flagstone Music Room (2013) is like music to the palate with its spicy, ripe black fruit, cherry liqueur and minty finish. Very elegant, structured, with soft tannins and fresh acidity, this wine is ready to drink now. This wine was awarded Gold (2012) Sommelier Wine Awards 2016; silver (2013) Decanter World Wine Awards 2015 and bronze (2013) International Wine Challenge 2015. - Community Wine Reviews
