Reviews and Ratings

Feudo Maccari Saia 2015 is a robust Nero D'avola from Noto in the Sicily wine region. This is a lush and fragrant red wine with plushy, ripe and tart cherry, dark berries, savoury spice flavours on the palate. MINE: Feudo Maccari Saia 2015 is a robust Nero D'avola from Noto in the Sicily wine region. Fragrant with ripe dark cherries, mint and oaky notes, this is a lush red with plushy, ripe red and tart cherry, dark berries, savoury spice flavours on the palate. Long tart cherry finish with great acidity for food. Tannins are velvety. Pair with grilled game meats. OTHER: Wineboy rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review: Fantastic nose of overripe black fruits and herbs. Big viscous mouthfeel with black fruit and kirsch flavours. Long finish. More enjoyable than I had words to express. OTHER: A more subtle Saia than in the past with freshly picked mulberries, elderberries, tobacco, cedar and resin. Full-bodied and very tight on the palate with polished tannins and a long finish. The combination of dark fruit and minerals is irresistible. Drink in 2020. Score - 95 (James Suckling, jamessuckling.com, Oct. 22, 2018). - Community Wine Reviews

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
