This full-bodied Italian red wine is made from the Primitivo grape (aka Zinfandel) and is smooth, balanced and full-bodied with layers of dark berries, coffee, and anise. Love the mouth-watering and savoury taste on the palate. Pair with hamburgers.

Primitivo food pairings: meat-based pasta dishes, pizza.

Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Medium ruby colour, lots of dark red fruit, sour cherry, warm spices, pepper. Medium+ body, not overly tannic and medium+ acidity. Great value!
Tasted: February 2015
This big Italian red wine won a Gold Medal at the 2014 Berliner Wein competition. Lovely ruby red colour in the glass from a blend of Primitivo and Aglianico grapes. Finishes with red berries and spice. - Community Wine Reviews
