Intense and concentrated with a seductive core of black fruit brooding. Savoury, meaty. This organic wine has just 6 mg/l of free sulphur. Supple, smooth and juicy: this is the Old World version of Zinfandel. Finishes lively with a lick of black and purple plums, mingling with fleshy blackberries. Pass that bottle, would you?

Primitivo food pairings: intense ragout, creamy cheese, barbecued ribs, chicken wings steaks.

Reviews and Ratings

This organic red wine made from the Primitivo grape (aka Zinfandel) was first produced in 1987 by Fatalone as a single varietal wine in the DOC Gioia del Colle. Pair with grilled meats and BBQ fare. - Community Wine Reviews

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
