Love this savoury and lush 90% Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre red wine blend from Gigondas in the Rhône wine region. Fragrant with dried florals on the nose. Full-bodied with liquid cherry, underbrush and cake spice flavours on the palate. Great balance of fruit to acidity. Tannins are structured. Enjoy now or hold for five years.

Food pairings: roasted lamb, veal dishes, grilled pork chops, cheese.

Reviews and Ratings

Produced by La Famille Perrin, La Gille 2016 is a full-bodied, richly layered Gigondas, savoury with dark cherry liqueur, earthy spices, white pepper flavours on the palate. Tannins are polished. Great now but can easily hold for the next eight years in cellar. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
