From Chile's northernmost wine estate, a full-bodied, smooth and spicy Syrah produced from hand-harvested grapes from the Titon and Huanta vineyards. Savoury on the palate with dark berry, olive, chocolate, toasty oak spice and supple tannins.

Syrah food pairings: rare roast beef, spice-braised lamb, chargrilled pork chop, burgers with blue cheese.

Reviews and Ratings

From the Elquí Valley wine region, Falernia 2016 Gran Reserva Syrah constantly over-delivers. Full-bodied and smooth with layers of ripe blackberry, black olive, dark chocolate, cedar and pepper spice flavours on the palate. Tannins are structured. The Syrah wine grapes for this vintage were sourced from the Elqui Valley near the town of La Serena, 320 miles north of Santiago. Enjoy with a well-marbled prime rib steak from the grill. - Community Wine Reviews

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
