Fabre Montmayou Reserva 2015 is a dark, broody Malbec from Argentina. A juicy Argentine red wine with aromas of dark red fruit and spice. This powerful red wine features toasty oak. The grapes for this wine come from 40-year-old vines near the Lujan de Cuyo and Las Compuertas regions. Approximately, 40% of the wine is matured in French oak barrels for 1 year. Pair with a rare steak.

Malbec food pairings: game, lamb, spaghetti and meat balls, veal cutlets, osso buco, hard cheese.

Reviews and Ratings

Great price below $20 on Fabre Montmayou Reserva 2015 -- a juicy and medium-plus bodied Malbec from the Luján De Cuyo in the Mendoza wine region from vineyards in the Vistalba zone. On the nose, this dry red wine is floral with crushed blue flowers, sweet red cherries and sweet cake spice. Very enjoyable now. Pair with a roasted game dinner. - Community Wine Reviews
