Reviews and Ratings

Travis Oke rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

I was intrigued by a 90% Tempranillo wine grown in Valencia - usually a Monastrell region. They are grown at a high altitude to keep the growth in a more temperate zone.
Dark wine, blackberries, tobacco, everything I love from up in Rioja or Ribero del Duero. Nice wine for $15.
#33 in Wine Enthusiast’s Top 100 Best Buys of 2012. A Wine Enthusiast’s Best Buy of 2012. Sweet blackberry aromas come with floral edgings, and the whole is impressive. Full-bodied and balanced, with healthy, ripe black cherry and dark plum flavors. Finishes spicy, with a note of bitter espresso. 90% Tempranillo with 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. One of the best wines from Valencia. Special Designation: Best Buy. Score: 90 Source: Michael Schachner, Wine Enthusiast, Dec. 15, 2011

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
