Vintages Wine Panel: This outstanding wine, made from 70- to 100-year-old Garnacha (Grenache), delights on every level. Aromas of coffee, smoky tar, spice and blackberry surge delectably from the glass. The palate is dry and medium-full bodied, with rich blackberry and a peppery note. There is a pleasing sweetness to the fruit mid-palate that adds a wonderful complexity. The finish is medium-long. Enjoy this exceptionally desirable wine. My note : Step back! This wine is absolutely fantastic, and at this price, it has to be an inventory mistake. Buy a case or two while you can. Savory, dark and delicious with unplumbed (not unplummed) depths). Let your senses seep into this sensual wine… I’ll meet you at the murky bottom of the glass.

Garnacha food pairings: mutton, beef.

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
