A lush and full-bodied red blend of Monastrell, Syrah and Petit Verdot from the Jumilla wine region. Fragrant with ripe dark plum and blackberry aromas on the nose. More ripe dark berry, cherry, plum and mocha flavours lingering on the palate. Pair with a roast of pork

Monastrell Syrah Petit Verdot food pairings: beef burgers, stuffed flank steak, grilled flat iron steak, wine-braised beef, turkey with gravy, grilled game sausages.

Reviews and Ratings

Craig Haynes - WSET3 FWS SWS IWS rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

From Spain’s Jumilla appellation, this hand harvest red blend’s aroma + flavour + feel experience exceeds its price point ($13.95 at the LCBO in April 2022). This is a compliment.

Booming and pleasing, its aromas evoke ripe red berries and low-key sweet vanilla which nicely accentuate its delicious headline flavours. Red berry jam and baking spices.

Crafted with Monastrell, Syrah and Petit Verdot, this easy drinking red feels full bodied and dry with velvety tannins.

I’ll serve this with slow cooked ribs.
