The Dugladze Kindzmarauli from Kakheti is a captivating semi-sweet red made from Georgia's noble Saperavi grape, grown in the celebrated micro-zone of the Alazani Valley where the unique combination of volcanic soils and mountain air produces grapes of extraordinary natural sweetness and depth, opening with a fragrant nose of wild strawberry preserve, ripe pomegranate and a whisper of dried violet, while the medium-bodied palate delivers lush flavors of dark cherry compote, crushed red currant and a gentle accent of sweet red pepper, all balanced by firm, well-structured tannins and a vibrant, refreshing acidity that keeps the wine from feeling cloying. Founded by the visionary Dmitry Dugladze in 2004 on the foundations of the historic Gomi factory, which dates back to 1903, the family-run estate is now led by his sons who have grown the company into one of Georgia's most internationally decorated producers, earning medals at Mundus Vini, Decanter and the International Wine and Spirit Competition across multiple vintages. Georgia is widely regarded as the birthplace of wine, with grape seeds and winemaking vessels discovered by archaeologists dating back an astonishing 8,000 years, making every bottle from this ancient land a drink steeped in the very origins of wine culture itself.
