Reviews and Ratings

Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Wildly floral with elderflower and jasmine, followed by wet stone and river rock, and ripe fruit notes including apricot and candied pineapple. Subtle but present honeycomb, apple, peach, and pear. Zesty, crisp, and bracing acidity, especially on the long finish, expertly offsetting and balancing the residual sugar. A stunning Riesling, certainly ageworthy if you can resist it now. Pair with apple and rosemary pork Rouladen for a match made in heaven.
Linda Mertes WSET 2 rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A sweet Riesling Kabinett from Mosel, Germany, this light-bodied wine has aromas of tropical fruit and citrus. The high acidity balances well with the sweetness, leading to a smoky, flinty finish. Pair with appetizers, BBQ fish or mild- medium curry dishes.
Produced by Erdender Treppchen, the wine grapes for Dr. Loosen's 2017 Riesling is sourced from the steep, southwest-facing slope on the Mosel's north bank, known for it iron-rich slate and volcanic soils. Amazing acidity balances out the 51g/l of residual sugar with liquid lime, tropical fruit flavours, spicy and creamy on the palate Very easy to enjoy. - Community Wine Reviews

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
