Reviews and Ratings

Mymi Thesingingsommelier - Sommelier, FWS rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Domaine du Tariquet is located in Gers, a village part of Cotes De Gascogne (famous for Armagnac) in the South West wine region of France. It was founded by Artaud, a local bear trainer and his son Jean-Pierre, a bartender in 1912.
The winery is now owned by the Grassa Family who are dedicated to respecting the environment in their winemaking practices.
This white wine is a blend of Ugni Blanc, Colombard, Sauvignon Blanc and Gros Manseng. Some of those varietals may sound obscure but well worth trying!
In the glass, it is a bright, light straw color with a slight effervescence.
On the nose, it has expressive aromas of white honey, grapefruit flesh, lime zest and blooming white spring flowers.
On the palate, it is dry, refreshing, generous, citrusy and honey'ed. Beautiful texture and a long sensual finish.
Enjoy as an apéritif or with shrimp, scallop or white fish dishes or even thai food!

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
