Reviews and Ratings

Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

I'm loving the concentrated dark aromas coming from the glass of this 100% Grenache Southern Rhone red. Black cherry cordial, raspberry, herbs de provence, sweet warm vanilla, anise, some earthiness and leather. Youthful polishing tannins and repeated aromas on the palate. This is a fun red wine with nuances of CdP without the price tag. Give it a swirl. Fetch a juicy steak and grill it seasoned only with cracked pepper and sea salt.
Tasted: August 2016
Oh Yeah! Looking for steak here -- the rarer, the better. The 2012 Cotes du Rhone Villages Cesar is full-bodied 100% chewy Grenache. The wine is lush and rich with black raspberry fruit and sweet spice from oak. Lovely lingering finish, this wine could cellar for a couple of year, but is drinking beautifully now. Decant for a couple of hours prior to serving.- Community Wine Reviews
