A chewy, savoury Cote du Rhone red wine with enticing aromas of dark red berries and wild black raspberries with some smoke and dust. Good value. Pair with grilled meats.

Reviews and Ratings

Donna Harding rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Bright garnet colour. Shows pepper, black berries and some floral notes on the nose. Full bodied with a medium long finish the palate displays medium tannins, spice-box and earthy notes.
Produced by Alain Jaume & Fils, the 2013 vintage of the Côtes du Rhône Les Champauvins was a hard one for the region. This is a red wine blend of 70% Grenache, 20% Syrah and 10% Mourvèdre grapes. The Grenache was matured in stainless steel tanks while the Syrah and Mourvèdre were aged in oak barrels. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
