Reviews and Ratings

Mike Roberts rated this wine as 97/100 with the following review:

I recently enjoyed hosting an evening of Chateauneuf du Pape. We tasted a flight of various vintages of some of the most recognizable wines from the region. The last wine we tasted was a 2007 Solitude La Secrete. This was a mindblower! Stunning! 2007 was an exceptional vintage in the region and this was a prime example.
It shows a deep concentration and dark berry colour in the glass. Almost opaque. The nose is ripe and slightly dusty. The palate however is a perfectly smooth, luscious and velvety texture. There is exceptional balance in fruit concentration, integrated tannic structure and a fresh acidity. Tasting wonderfuly obviously and will reward the patient cellar hand with another ten years at least. If you come across an 07' do not pass up the opportunity!

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
