Reviews and Ratings

Domaine de Congy Tradition Pouilly-Fumé from the Loire Valley is a crisp, light to medium-bodied white offering aromas of white blossom, ripe pear, and hints of wet gravel. It's dry with energetic acidity and a delicate texture. Serve it well chilled with steamed mussels as the wine's bright citrus and mineral character will enhance the seafood's briny sweetness beautifully, or pair it with seared scallops where the wine's refreshing finish and clean flavors will complement the delicate, buttery richness perfectly. Winemaker Christophe Bonnard, who took over the family farm at a young age and has been crafting wines for thirty years, manages 12 hectares of vineyards planted on three distinct soil types including Kimmeridgian limestone made up of fossilized shellfish from the Quaternary era. The estate was purchased in 1951 by Christophe's great-grandfather in the Saint-Andelain district near Pouilly-sur-Loire, and the family began planting vines in 1989 after generations of farming livestock and cereal grains. Enjoy now or cellar for 3-6 years. - Community Wine Reviews

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
