Domaine Cluny Bourgogne Côte d'Or Pinot Noir is an elegant, terroir-driven Burgundy from a six-generation family estate in Brochon, tucked along the celebrated Route des Grands Crus between Fixin and Gevrey-Chambertin in the heart of the Côte de Nuits. Winemaker Édouard Cluny, who studied viticulture and oenology in Beaune and produced his first vintage in 2015, crafts this wine in the traditional Burgundian way: grapes hand-harvested in small crates, wild-yeast fermented, and aged between 12 and 18 months in French oak, allowing each cru to speak for itself without embellishment. The nose is refined and precise, offering lifted red cherry, dried rose petal and a hint of cool earth, with a delicate oak note weaving quietly through the background. On the palate it is dry, medium-bodied and graceful, with silky tannins, lively acidity and a persistent, cherry-tinged finish that rewards patience in the glass. A wonderful historical footnote: the Cluny name echoes the famous Abbey of Cluny, the medieval Benedictine monastery that shaped Burgundian winemaking centuries before Charles Cluny began farming these very slopes at the turn of the 20th century, though the families share only the region's deep heritage, not a direct lineage. Serve it lightly chilled and enjoy through 2030. It is a natural match for a roasted chicken with tarragon cream sauce, where the wine's red fruit and earthy elegance shine, or try it with a wild mushroom tart for a quietly luxurious weeknight pairing.

Pinot Noir food pairings: roasted chicken with tarragon cream sauce, wild mushroom tart, duck breast with cherry compote.
