Reviews and Ratings

Domaine Bersan is a family operated winery dating back to 1453. Irancy 2015 is a medium-bodied and zesty 95% Pinot Noir and 5% César red wine blend; grapes are organically grown. Cesar is a traditional grape of this appellation which was granted status in 1999 and is one of the most northerly red-wine producing areas in France. The César grape is rich in tannins and makes dark, tannic wines. The 95% Pinot Noir in this wine actually softens the César that give structure and backbone to the Pinot Noir. On the nose, this fragrant red blend if ripe black currants, red cherry and red berries. On the palate, more ripe red cherry, raspberry, blackberry flavours with a lingering anise and white pepper finish. Tannins are firm and velvety. Good acidity for food. Pair it with a veal Porterhouse chop. - Community Wine Reviews

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
