Natalie's Score: 92/100

This AC Rhone red wine delights from the get-go and is produced by Delas Frères! Immediately pleasurable aromas of blackberry liqueur, dark spice and smoke. Thank goodness it's so reasonably price because I think you'll be wanting more than one bottle. Pair with hard cheeses and finer cuts of steak.

Syrah food pairings: rare roast beef with oven roasted potatoes, spice-braised lamb with sweet potatoes and white beans, Char grilled pork chop with braised red cabbage and celeriac purée, Muscovy duck, turnips, fennel and blackberries..

Reviews and Ratings

This full-bodied French red wine is made from Syrah grapes. The 2012 vintage of the Crozes Hermitage Les Launes is solid with aromas of pepper and black fruit. The wine was matured in vats. - Community Wine Reviews

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
