Dandelion Treasure Trove of McLaren Vale Grenache is a full-bodied, extra-dry red from Firehawk Farm, a single biodynamically farmed vineyard perched on an ancient ridge above McLaren Vale with views out to the Gulf St Vincent. It's generous and ripe, with juicy red cherry, wild strawberry, and a hint of rose petal on the nose, a thread of anise and sage deepening the mid-palate, and twelve months in French oak lending structure and a subtle smoky savouriness on the finish. Serve it just below room temperature and drink it through 2029, though it'll reward decanting even now. Winemaker Elena Brooks grew up in a winemaking family, was interpreting barrel tastings by age twelve, and was named Bushing Queen at the McLaren Vale Wine Show in 2021, one of the region's most coveted honours, for her Lion's Tooth Shiraz Riesling.

Grenache food pairings: slow-roasted lamb shoulder with garlic and rosemary, cassoulet with duck confit and white beans, barbecued pork ribs with smoked paprika rub.
