This complex and seductive BC Cabernet brings up the rear, so to speak. There's a superbly long finish and excellent structure that the best of Cabernet delivers. This wine was aged in 65% new oak barrels for smoky, toasty richness wrapping itself around back fruit. Finishes with clove and sage and a strong desire to have more. Pair with rare meats.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: romano carbonara with fresh bucatini; baked eggplant parmigiana; flat iron steak with arugula, radicchio, and grana padano.

Reviews and Ratings

A classic expression of Cabernet Sauvignon with aromas of ripe blackberry, fresh sage, and cloves accented by a floral lift. The refined palate is mineral driven with a supple texture, bright currant flavours,
and well-balanced toasted oak. The finish is long, charming, and persistent.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
