Reviews and Ratings

CREW Fumé Blanc from Ontario V.Q.A. is a charming, light-bodied Sauvignon Blanc vinified and matured in French oak, a winemaking style popularized by Robert Mondavi in the 1960s to add texture and complexity to the grape, and it works beautifully here, lending a creamy, rounded quality to a wine that leads with bright citrus zest, white peach, and a lifted note of toasted vanilla that drifts through the finish. At just 11.6% alcohol it is feather-light and effortlessly easy to enjoy, with a tangy, refreshing acidity that keeps every sip lively and engaging. Serve it well chilled and enjoy it through 2030 while its fruit-forward freshness is at its liveliest. Winemaker Bernie Gorski, who founded CREW alongside his wife Nancy in 2001 on the shores of Lake Erie in Essex County, has built this boutique estate into one of Ontario's most warmly celebrated family-owned wineries, known as much for its welcoming hospitality and gallery as for its quality VQA wines. Situated on Ontario's Lake Erie North Shore appellation, CREW benefits from one of Canada's most southerly and warmest wine-growing climates, sharing the same latitude as northern California and the south of France. - Community Wine Reviews

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
