Edição Nacional Covela is produced from Avesso wine grapes from the southeastern limit of the Vinhos Verde wine region with vineyards overlooking the Douro River. Great acidity and mouth-watering briny finish on this vibrant white made for grilled shellfish. The wine grapes are organically grown. Light herbs on the nose with white stone fruit and fresh lemon zest flavours finishing crisp on the palate. Enjoy now in all its freshness.

Avesso food pairings: pan-fried panfish, grilled chicken, seafood stew.

Reviews and Ratings

Produced by Lima & Smith, Edição Nacional Covela 2016 is a vibrant, white wine produced from 100% Avesso wine grapes from the Vinho Verde wine region. Pale lemon-green in the glass, fresh green apple, white grapefruit, bell pepper and light herb flavours on the palate. Fresh and zesty, chill and enjoy now with smoked sautéed scallops and grilled garlic shrimp. - Community Wine Reviews

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
